Life Coaching is when an individual seeks help with a life transition and partners with the coach to help them in designing their desired future. Life Coaching is often used to go from ‘Stuckness to Growth’ in ones life. It is the pursuit of finding ones life purpose and true desires.
Coaching is focused on a person as a whole, it is very much client-centered. The ICF (International Coach Federation) was founded in 1992 and is responsible to moderating the training of coaches. Life coaching was originated in the United States and has since then spread across the globe.
Coaching requires that the coach lives their life in a fulfilled and purposeful a way before taking on a client. In essence a coach is coaching from the inside out.
